Tim is the Chief Client Officer (CCO) and is focused on being a champion of Blackboard’s clients, representing the needs of faculty, students, school administrators, IT professionals, instructional designers and professional learners who have partnered with or use Blackboard products and solutions.
As CCO, Tim’s role is to work across the integrated leadership team at Blackboard to create a single and unified vision across all client touchpoints – sales, marketing, user interface, contracts and billing, fulfillment and onboarding, and post-sale support, training and community programs.
Tim has over 25 years of senior leadership experience driving organizational excellence across operations, communications and public affairs, service delivery, investor relations and M&A. Prior to joining Blackboard, he served in several leadership roles at SRA International including Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, and Chief of Staff. At SRA, he created and led new business areas in Critical Infrastructure Protection and Cybersecurity and was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Government IT for his role in shaping U.S. cyber-security strategy.
Before SRA, Tim was appointed to the Senior Executive Service (SES) and served as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor. He also worked as a White House Fellow at the National Security Council. Additionally, he served for 12 years in the U.S. Coast Guard including twice as a Commanding Officer and as an Assistant Professor in Management and Economics at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
Tim holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Science in Government with High Honors from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. He currently serves as Board Chair for The Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health and is on the advisory board for Reye Partners Asset Management.
Eric Tsui is a Professor in the department of industrial and systems engineering. He had worded in industry for 16 years before joining PolyU in 2005. With a strong passion in teaching and an IT veteran, Professor Tsui’s specialty areas are on Blended Learning, learning pedagogy and knowledge management technologies. He and his team has won many Knowledge Management and E-Learning awards for PolyU.
Dr. Malini Eliatamby, is the Chief Academic Officer for INTI International University and Colleges Malaysia. She is the recipient of the 2015 National Outstanding Educator Award, an award she received from the Deputy Education Minister, Malaysia. She is also the 2017 Blackboard Catalyst Award winner for
Professional Development and the 2018 Blackboard Catalyst Award winner for Leading Change. She holds a PhD in Neurochemistry. She is an appointed MQA panel member for the review of standards for open distance learning programs. Prior to her current role, she has served as a Deputy Vice Chancellor of a private university in Malaysia.
She has been a member of the Laureate Global Academic Leaders Council and the AMEA Regional Academic Leaders Council. She has also been involved in many other Laureate initiatives such as the Laureate Professional Assessment Advisoty Group, Faculty Development Advisory Group and Project Maestro for Faculty Excellence. She sits on the Advisory Board of Global Mindset, based in Australia, which centers around digitalization of learning and working. She led the INTI International University team towards the achievement of SETARA 5 in the last ranking exercise. She is a senior level academic administrator with proven track record in higher education administration, digital strategy formulation and implementation, student experience and educational technology. She is also instrumental in the strategic design and deployment which also includes building capacity, product development and change management across INTI. Analytics and use of advanced analytics is another area which is actively pursues.
